Died: 24 January 2005
Special Achievements:Australian National Opera and Sadler's Wells Opera Company Singer. Winner of Sydney Eisteddfod and Sun Aria Prize. 1949 came third in Sydney Eisteddfod behind Joan Sutherland.
April 1977 - June was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to the performing arts.
She changed her name to Bronhill in honour of her home town Broken Hill residents who raised money for her to study opera in England.
