Special Achievements:1999 - Appointed Companion of the Order of Australia for her services to the community and for "coordination of world-wide efforts to develop and research educational strategies to reduce sudden infant death in infancy".
Additional Information:11 July 1977 - Founder of the Sudden Infant Death (SID) Research Foundation (now SIDS and Kids).
1988 - Founder of Red Nose Day (fund raising day for SIDS).
