YOUNG, Simone

Born: 2/3/1961

Special Achievements:

First woman to conduct at The Vienna Philharmonic and Paris Opera, La Bastille.
1987 - Young Australian of The Year.
1993 - First female Australian Conductor to achieve International success.
2001 - Victorian Honour Roll of Women.
26 January 2004, in the Australia Day Honours, Young was named a Member of the Order of Australia.
